In case you or someone you know is interested in CPR training*, the American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter will be holding their annual CPR Saturday training in Richmond next month. Free adult CPR certification will be provided. In years past, CPR Saturday’s have allowed more than 2,500 people to receive certified CPR training for free in every Bay Area county.

How would you like to save money on your PG&E bill and make your home more energy efficient?   Contra Costa County received Federal and State Stimulus money to provide low and fixed income families free energy improvements for their homes.   Renters and owners of a house, apartment, or mobile home may be eligible.  See the income guidelines below. 

Income Guidelines for Eligibility

A qualified representative from the County will perform an onsite review to determine what energy saving measures are needed.  Free upgrades may include repair or replacement of gas appliances, new refrigerator, new ceiling fan, attic insulation, water saving devices, programmable thermostats, minor home repairs, and more.
