Effective February 1, 2012, all redevelopment agencies in the State of California were dissolved pursuant to AB 1X 26. Although the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Pablo (RDA) has been dissolved, this website contains historical information about the RDA and will be used by the City of San Pablo as the Successor Agency to the RDA to provide information related to the dissolution and winding down of the RDA.

The Oversight Board is generally intended to supervise the activities of the Local Successor Agency. The Oversight Board has a fiduciary responsibility to holders of Enforceable Obligations and the taxing entities that benefit from distributions of property tax and other revenues. --------------------

Redevelopment is the planning, development, redesign, clearance, reconstruction, or rehabilitation of all or part of a survey area, and the provision of those residential, commercial, industrial, public, or other structures or spaces as may be appropriate or necessary in the interest of the general welfare.

Established in 1969, the Redevelopment Agency of San Pablo (RDA) is governed by the City Council, which acts as Executive Board, and the City Manager, who acts as Executive Director. The RDA implements economic development strategies to remove blight by two initiatives: improving the appearance and availability of the overall housing stock, and strengthening and making affordable the retail, light industrial and commercial economic foundations. Through participation and ownership of programs designed for redevelopment activities, residential and business communities alike will be revitalized.
