The City encourages business success by providing various services to both small businesses and larger established companies. San Pablo’s Economic Development (ED) Program has short and long-range economic development strategies to accomplish these objectives. These development strategies include: providing information for economic development strategy, providing assistance for business attraction and business retention, and business outreach.

The Economic Development Department is responsible for:

• Providing services for business placement, retention, expansion, and recruitment
• Providing programs dedicated to making the community and workforce better
• Creating a marketing strategy for the City
• Hosting and sponsoring a variety of workshops and seminars to help businesses grow
