Wanlass Park (PW 405)
Wanlass Park
This project consists of improvements for a City park on the former Wanlass property in the Leroy Heights area of the City. The park includes an Environmental Education Center which employs “green” technology including solar power, a restroom building, play areas, lawn areas, paved pathways, landscaping with native plants, drainage improvements to mitigate runoff to adjacent residential properties, a masonry block wall separating the park from adjacent residences, park entry features, parking area, creek restoration, and a vehicular access bridge across the creek. Community Garden spaces are also being made available to interested community groups for Bay-Friendly landscaping.  Contact Mike Heller at (510) 215-3030 if you are interested in a Community Garden space.
