Parent Project
The Parent Project is a nationally recognized program that, with 13 years in development, is the only course of its kind that provides activity based instruction, support groups, and curriculum addressing the most destructive of adolescent behaviors.
Parent Project is:
- A 10 week parent training program designed specifically for parents of strong-willed or out-of-control adolescent children.
- Parents meet one night per week, 2-3 hours per night, for 10 weeks.
- The curriculum teaches concrete prevention, identification, and intervention strategies for the most destructive of adolescent behaviors (poor school attendance and performance, alcohol and other drug use, gangs, runaways, and violent teens).
San Pablo Police Department's Youth and Education Services Unit offers this premier program in English and Spanish, free of charge. Take advantage of this worthwhile parent training to become empowered as a parent and transform your teen before its too late. If you have any questions or would like to register for an upcoming class, please contact Officer Katie Casalnuovo at (510) 215-3212.
