National Night Out, “America’s Night Out Against Crime” began in 1984 and communities in all 50 states participate annually. The
purpose of National Night Out is to strengthen neighborhood relationships and the police-community partnership, while sending a message to criminals that the neighborhoods are organized against crime. This year San Pablo celebrated National Night Out with a variety of neighborhood events which included: BBQs, games, raffles, music and other youth events.
City Officials,
law enforcement, and the
local fire department visited each of the participating neighborhoods to show their support and interact with the community.
2011 was the first year San Pablo participated in National Night Out and we are looking forward to its continued expansion in years to come. Our thanks to the community for your excellent participation!
