Captain of Police

Jim Creekmore was appointed Captain in February 2012. He has served more than twenty-seven years with the San Pablo Police Department with over ten of those years managing specialized units. During his career he has worked a variety of assignments, including; Narcotics Investigations, Robbery/Homicide Investigations, Training Unit, Code Enforcement Unit Supervisor and Patrol Sergeant. In 2008, he was promoted to Lieutenant where he managed the Patrol Division, Investigations Division, Support Services Division and Gang Unit. Other duties have included Tactical Commander for the Special Entry and Apprehension Team (S.E.A. Team), and Lieutenant in charge of department training.

Captain Creekmore possesses a P.O.S.T. Management Certificate and is a past graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute. He is a member of the San Pablo Chamber of Commerce and San Pablo Rotary. He also serves as the department’s liaison to Community Violence Solutions, Doctors Medical Center and the Lytton San Pablo Casino.
