(1) Market Street Pavement Rehabilitation Project
Project Cost: $699,000
The Market Street Pavement Rehabilitation Project is part of the City’s ongoing Pavement Management Program. The work to be performed will include, but is not limited to, base failure repairs, slurry sealing, crack sealing, cold planing of existing asphalt concrete, overlaying or reconstructing the existing asphalt concrete pavement with conventional asphalt concrete, constructing concrete curb ramps, placement of striping and installing valley gutters.
(2) Contra Costa College Transit Village Master Plan
Project Cost: $225,000
The Contra Costa College Transit Village Master Plan includes preparation of a transit oriented development plan for the public housing area located adjacent to Contra Costa College (CCC). The 11.24-acre project site is the current location of a 100-unit public housing complex (26 one-bedrooms, 44 two- bedrooms, 22 three- bedrooms, and 8 four- bedrooms). The City is planning for reuse and redevelopment of this existing housing site into a mixed-use residential, commercial, retail and transit (live, work, shop) development. The CCC Transit Village Master Plan will complement the City's "College Transit Center, TOD, General Plan/Zoning Amendments and CEQA Compliance" recommendations currently underway.
(3) Plaza San Pablo Bay Trail
Project Cost: $1.5M
The San Pablo Bay Greenway Trail Project will create over 2,200 linear feet of Class I bike and pedestrian trail extending the entire length between Church Lane and Vale Road adjacent to Wildcat Creek. This project creates multi-modal transit options to provide a safe, walkable neighborhood that connects residents to transit stops, health services and the natural environment. This project continues the local and regional plans to connect the Wildcat Creek Trail from Wildcat Canyon to the Bay Trail.
(4) Citywide Safe Routes to School (SR2S)
Project Cost: $225,000
This project will leverage the existing SR2S assessment completed for Downer Elementary School, by extending SR2S planning efforts to include the remaining seven school sites within the City (Bayview Elementary School, Dover Elementary School, Lake Elementary School, Riverside Elementary School, Tara Hills Elementary School, Helms Middle School, and Richmond High School). Development of the Citywide SR2S plan will include coordination with each school site, traffic safety field assessments, data collection, preparation of a summary of existing conditions and identification of recommendations for safety improvements.
(5) Rumrill Boulevard Complete Streets (Phase II)
Project Cost: $5.83M
Rumrill Boulevard Complete Streets Phase II improvements along Rumrill Boulevard in the City of San Pablo includes completion of landscaping, pedestrian sidewalk and crossing improvements, street lighting enhancements and bus shelters along the corridor. This project will calm traffic, improve safety and the appeal of walking and bicycling and enhance the appearance of the corridor for businesses, residents, and everyday travelers.
